자기소개/About Me

Hello! My name is Jodi and I am a 16 year old girl who fell in love with the Korean language. Just so we don’t have any misunderstandings I’d like to set the record straight. No I am not a k-pop fanatic and no, I am not a k-drama addict. I am simply in love with the culture, its people, the enticing script, and the exotic sounds of the language.

I have only just begun my journey studying korean on April 5th 2012 however I hope to keep this blog as a language log, not to teach but to share my experience with all of the other language learners out there, even if Korean is not your target language.

I do not call myself a language learning expert as I am currently “monolingual” —I am only able to converse comfortably in English but I was at a low intermediate level in Esperanto until I stopped maintaining it—but i strive to inspire other novice language learners like myself and provide the insight of a person starting as a beginner and working their way through the more advanced stages.

Phew, I’m finally done! I guess im not that bad at writing introductions after all ^_^!

  1. It’s nice to meet you Jodi, I’m NyNy! You’re so young and already learning Korean! Just wanted to stop by and say I like your posts.
I hope when you have the time, you can check out some of mine and comment plus I’m still writing my travel entries when I went to Korea last year. I’d appreciate if you took a look 🙂

    • I just can’t keep this silent, but our names are so similar! My real name is Nyesha(I prefer people to call me by the shortened version of my middle name though), and when I saw your name I got scared for a second, because I thought someone was impersonating me! I will most definetely have a look at your blog, as it sounds interesting. ^^

      • Are you serious? That’s so cool ^^

Haha no, but you should be proud of your real name. It’s unique and people will remember it more.
